Yes, unfortunately it's true....many don't watch the B & W just because of no color. Many films today are mindless,action films which those out there enjoy. I myself enjoy a plot which makes you think.
Sometimes I think it's just the way their minds are wired, like being left-handed . . . the rest . . . it can be a joke because they can sometimes think that I won't watch anything made after FDR was elected!
Virginia, loved your quote about FDR. I think my husband is that way about mysteries (I, however, will watch late '40s noir). He does like his '50s SciFi, though, prefering the B&W ones of those.
