Living with ankliosingspondilitis is a relentless horror story. I did not know until recently that we shared the same auto immune condition. Life long, life changing. Just know your not alone. When even our doctors, family, rheumatoligist, friends and colleagues cannot seem to know what to do, what to say, how to support us, we get up, put our pants on and greet the day. No matter what that day brings. Music, prayer and finding joy are things that kept me going through the dark and the light. Keep plowing through it all Canadian sister!

Hi Alannah,
I don\'t know why but somehow I always end up listening to all of your albums around christmas. Maybe it\'s because I always remember your birthday since it\'s my mom\'s birthday as well, who knows. Anyway, I wanted to send you a big fat THANK YOU for being you and having stepped out there in the world of music. You are still by far one of my alltime favorite musicians and I got a big fat smile on my face today because of you. Unfortunately, because things got so expensive here in Germany, I had to move in with my brother and other people who are quite hard to deal with sometimes. I don\'t know why exactly, but somehow I found it extremely hard to practice singing when they were at home but I definitely didn\'t want that to ruin the joy I get from making music. A few weeks ago, it kind of turned into a habit that I put on one of your songs before singing, turned it VERY loud and did one particular breathing kriya (kriyas are basically parts of kundalini yoga sessions, I love it) all the way through it. After those three to six minutes I always felt super empowered, like I awakened an unshakable energy within myself. So thank you so very much for being part of that experience!
I wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Birthday, a Happy New Year and above all: peaceful holidays full of joy and bengal cat cuddles ~
