Re: Another new Charlie Chan novel: "The Jade Dragon's Curse"

I thought, I should have a look into the US amazon (sorry for the links into the german shop).

There is one more by the same author:

The Jimmy Chan Detective Stories
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B0C8FB3668
Published on "Kindle Vella" (never heard of that before)

And I was not aware, that this is also available now:

The Amelia Earhart Mystery: Charlie Chan in the Pacific
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B0C8CKGR3N
by author Adrian Vogler - published last friday

Tons of stuff to read for the summer :-)

Re: Another new Charlie Chan novel: "The Jade Dragon's Curse" (A Definite NO)

Dear Michael,

You pose an interesting question: "Are all those new books developed with AI?"

Reading most of "The Jade Dragon's Curse," I have found the language used to be very bland and "matter of fact." Dialogue comes off both in arrangement and feel as something more like a script than a novel! Also, there is a space between each paragraph which seems an obvious means of filling more pages. Perhaps AI, that insidious dagger in the heart of true creativity, may, indeed have been employed in this case, and maybe for the other examples you mention.

I can state without having finished this small book that it is even worse than "Charlie Chan: Cheeseburgers, Root Beer and Murder," which at least had something of a story to tell with some characters with any dimension.

Perhaps you can, through Kindle, take a look at these other stories and let us know if there is ANY value to them. If you would like to just take a skim through the content and give us your opinion? Thank you!

Sincerely,
Rush
